Globfone.com is a site that allows you to send text messages and make calls for free directly from our web site.

Are text messages and calls via globfone.com completely free ?

YES. You won’t be charged for anything. Calls and text messages are sponsored by our donors and advertisers. Note: if the person you call is roaming, he/she will be charged standard roaming fees.

Are there any limits when using the services on globfone.com ?

Yes. To avoid unfair practices and frauds all activities are limited by IP address.

Do I need to register to make calls or send messages via globfone.com ?

No. You don’t need to register. Our services are available without registration.

Are text messages sent from globfone.com the same as traditional text messages from mobile phones ?

In some cases, the text messages sent from Globfone will be of different type that we call “SMS Lite”. They will be displayed on the mobile phone screen but won’t be copied to the memory of the handset. ATTENTION: Some GSM handsets will not play incoming message sound for these messages!

A message sent by me was never delivered to the recipient. Why ?

This can happen for several reasons. Not every mobile phone can receive text messages. Text messages may also be left undelivered or delayed for some time for many reasons, which we cannot control or influence. Sometimes, it's about technical difficulties on the provider's side. If your message is very important to you, we recommend calling the person you wish to contact or leaving a voice message for them instead of texting. Please do not contact us to inform that your message was not received. Always check twice that the number you entered is correct, and has the correct format.

I received a threating message via globfone.com. What should I do ?

Please check if one of your friends isn’t playing a prank on you. If the messages are serious, you should contact us and we'll work it out with you directly. We can put your number into our blacklist. It will block your number for our services so no one can send messages or call you via our site.

What do I need to do to call via globfone.com ?

To call via GlobFone you must have a microphone, headphones or speakers and Adobe Flash Player 9.0 or higher.

What number format should I use when calling ?

You have to type an international number including the prefix of the country you want to call. Don't use "00" or "+" in the beginning of the number.

Example: 33 1 11223344 (France, Paris)

How long can I talk/call via globfone.com ?

The duration of your connection depends on the area you're calling - the prices of calls to various countries and networks vary and so does the connection time. It's best to call the number via GlobFone and check.

Does GlobFone provide good sound quality during calls ?

YES. Because our calls are based on VoIP technology, they can rival the traditional phone connections. A very slow Internet connection may degrade the quality of your call but the broadband connections used nowadays are typically much faster than minimal requirements of VoIP technology.
