Globfone Coverage: Which Countries and Networks Can You Reach?

World map showing countries connected by calls and messages

"Which countries can I call?" is the most common question about any calling service, and the honest answer is: it depends on the day. Coverage for calls and SMS is made up of routes with partner operators, and routes change.

Why coverage changes

  • Wholesale prices. A destination that was affordable last month may become expensive.
  • Route availability. Partners add or remove capacity and sometimes suspend accounts.
  • Regulation. Some countries restrict how messages and calls can be delivered.
  • Abuse. A surge of misuse can lead operators to block traffic to a destination.

Because of this, Globfone does not publish a fixed list of mobile networks. Coverage is determined dynamically so traffic goes through the best options available.

How to check what works now

  1. Look at the tools. The country lists in the calling and SMS tools show only destinations currently supported by the free service.
  2. Read the status page. Service status lists known restrictions and which countries have been restored.
  3. Check Premium rates. The rate checker on the Premium page shows whether a number can be called and what it costs.
  4. Test with a short call. The FAQ lists a test number, and echo tests help rule out problems on your side.

Quality versus availability

A destination being listed does not guarantee identical quality everywhere. Free SMS may use lower-cost routes where delivery varies; Premium uses higher-quality routes and a broader choice of operators. Video chat and file sharing are peer-to-peer, so they do not depend on country coverage at all: see video chat and file sharing.

Help us improve it

If you confirm that a message or call worked, or failed, report it using the feedback options. It helps identify unreliable routes. For general questions read the FAQ.

Frequently asked questions

Why can I call a country today but not tomorrow?

Routes depend on partners and costs that change. If a destination is temporarily restricted, it is listed on the service status page.

Is every mobile network in a supported country available?

Not always. A country may be listed while one operator is blocked or slower than others.

How do I report that a number does not work?

Use the feedback option after the call or contact support with the destination and the time. It helps to identify problem routes quickly.
