The five steps in the video
- Open the page. Go to Globfone Video Chat in a modern browser.
- Create or join a room. Start a new room or paste the link you were sent. Add a PIN if you want to restrict access.
- Allow camera and microphone. Your browser asks for permission, then you pick which devices to use.
- Share the link. Send it by message, email or chat. Anyone with the link (and the PIN, if set) can join.
- Talk, chat and share. Mute, turn off video, switch cameras or share your screen at any time.
Why it works well in a browser
- No separate installation for either side.
- Fast to start for one-to-one or small group calls.
- Useful for quick meetings, casual chats and remote support.
For a written guide read how to start a video call, and to understand what happens behind the scenes, see introducing Globfone Video Chat.
Tips from the walkthrough
- Allow camera and microphone access when the browser asks, otherwise the call cannot start.
- Test your sound with a friend before an important call.
- Share the room link only with the people you invite, and use a PIN when needed.
